Description

Fire Extinguisher 9Lt Water is a traditional, highly effective fire suppression unit designed specifically to combat fires involving ordinary solid combustible materials (Class A fires). Water is the most effective and economical agent for tackling fires in wood, paper, textiles, and furniture by rapidly cooling the burning material and reducing the temperature below its ignition point.

Features:

  • Class A: Fires involving ordinary solid combustibles (wood, paper, cardboard, plastics, fabrics).3
  • Limitation: Not suitable for (flammable liquids), absolutely dangerous for Class $\text{C}$ (electrical) fires due to water’s conductivity, and ineffective on (cooking oil) or  (metal) fires.
  • 9 Litre Capacity: This is the industry standard and maximum common portable size, providing a long and sustained discharge (often 50 to 60 seconds) and a powerful jet or spray to tackle substantial piles of burning solid material.
  • Operating Mechanism (Stored Pressure): The unit is a stored pressure type, featuring an external pressure gauge for continuous visual verification of the charge.
  • Discharge Mechanism: Discharges water through a jet or spray nozzle to penetrate deep into smoldering materials or to saturate burning surfaces.
  • Identification: Water extinguishers are easily identifiable by their bright red label and may sometimes have a colored band or zone identifying
