Description

Fire Extinguisher 6Lt Wet Chemichal is a specialized fire suppression unit specifically designed to combat Class F fires—those involving high-temperature cooking oils and fats (such as vegetable oils, animal fats, and deep-fat fryers). While it is effective on its primary function is the chemical reaction it initiates with burning oils.

Features:

Class F (Fats/Oils): The chemical reacts with the burning oil/fat (a process called saponification), turning the burning substance into a thick, soapy foam or crust. This blanket seals the surface, effectively smothering the fire, preventing the release of flammable vapors, and allowing the contents to cool below their ignition point.

Class A: Also effective on ordinary combustibles (wood, paper) due to the cooling nature of the water-based solution.

6 Litre Capacity: The standard, highly effective volume for commercial kitchens, providing a sufficient, sustained discharge time (often 40 to 60 seconds) and a gentle, non-splash spray to safely attack large cooking oil fires.

Discharge Mechanism (Misty Spray): The agent is discharged as a fine, gentle spray to prevent the burning oil or fat from being scattered, which can spread the fire and harm the operator.

Operating Mechanism (Stored Pressure): A stored pressure unit featuring an external pressure gauge for verifying readiness.

Non-Conductive (Typically): Although water-based, modern wet chemical agents are often designed to be safely used on energized cooking equipment (Class  that has not been switched off, but manufacturers’ guidelines must always be checked.

Kitchen Safety Mandate: Essential and often legally required for commercial kitchens using deep-fat frying equipment.
