Fire Extinguisher Ball (also known as an automatic fire extinguishing ball or “Elide Fire Ball”) is an innovative, self-activating fire suppression device designed for rapid and hands-free response to nascent (beginning) fires. Unlike traditional fire extinguishers that require manual operation, this spherical device is either thrown into a fire-installed in high-risk areas.

Features:

• Self-Activating Mechanism: The primary feature is its ability to automatically activate when it comes into direct contact with flames for a few seconds, or when exposed to sufficient heat  A small internal fuse or charge ignites.
• Agent Discharge: Upon activation, the ball ruptures and disperses a powerful burst of Dry Chemical Powder (DCP), typically an rated agent,  variants, a clean agent. This powder rapidly smothers the fire, cutting off oxygen and disrupting the combustion process.
• Roll/Throw: Can be safely rolled  thrown directly into a developing fire from a distance.
• Class A: Ordinary combustibles (wood, paper, fabrics).
• Class B: Flammable liquids (petrol, oil, paint).
• Class C: Energized electrical equipment.
• Safety Distance: Allows users to combat a fire from a safe distance by throwing it, reducing direct exposure to flames and heat.
• Alarm Function: Some models incorporate an audible alarm that sounds upon activation, alerting occupants to the fire.
• Long Shelf Life & Low Maintenance: Typically requires minimal maintenance and has a long shelf life (often 5 years), as it’s a self-contained unit.
• Lightweight & Compact: Despite its power, the ball is usually lightweight (around 1.3 kg to 1.5 kg) and spherical, making it easy for anyone to handle and deploy.
