Description
Climax Rapelling Rope is Semi-Static Rope and it has high-strength, low-elongation (low-stretch) rope designed for vertical safety applications such as rappelling, fixed lines, rescue, and rope access work. Constructed using the durable Kernmantle method (a braided sheath over a core), it provides excellent abrasion resistance and a reliable, stable anchor point or descent line.
Features:
- Rope Type Semi-Static (Low-Stretch) Kernmantle Construction.
- Primary Material Polyamide (Nylon) or a Polyamide/Polyester blend.
- Typical Diameter 11 mm. This diameter offers a good balance of strength, durability, and handling for professional use.
- Static Elongation Low (typically ≤5% or ≈3% under load). This minimal stretch is crucial for stable rappelling and ascending.
- Breaking Load (MBL) High tensile strength, often 22 kN (2200 daN) or more.
- Application Rappelling/Abseiling, Fixed Lines, Caving, Rescue, Rope Access, and use with guided type fall arresters.
- Certification Complies with European Standards like EN 1891 (Low Stretch Ropes).
- Construction Kernmantle (inner core provides strength, outer sheath protects against abrasion).
- Finish Options Available in various lengths (e.g., 10m, 20m, 45m, 50m) and often supplied with factory sewn terminals (eyes) for easy and secure connection to carabiners/anchors.
