Rubber Wheel Chocks (also known as a tire chock or wheel block) is a portable safety wedge placed firmly against a vehicle’s wheels to prevent accidental movement, rolling, or shifting.Unlike permanently installed wheel stoppers(parking blocks),chocks are temporary devices used to secure vehicles during maintenance,loading, unloading, or when parked on an incline.
Features:
- Material: Constructed from heavy-duty, high-density rubber (often a natural/SBR rubber compound) or laminated rubber
- Design: Wedge or triangular shape with one edge often featuring a concave or ribbed profile to fit snugly against the curvature of the tire. The base is usually textured or serrated.
- Safety Feature: Many chocks include an eye bolt, rope, or chain attachment point (and sometimes an integrated handle).
- Size & Capacity: Available in a wide range of sizes, from small blocks for passenger cars and trailers to heavy-duty, extra-large blocks for aircraft and massive mining haul trucks.
