Description
PVC Road Traffic Post often referred to as a PVC Delineator Post or Flexible Warning Post, is a vertical, highly visible traffic control device used to guide drivers, delineate lanes, and mark hazards, particularly in areas where a strong, rigid barrier is not required. It is designed with safety in mind, prioritizing visibility and flexibility over vehicle-stopping capability.
Features:
- Material: Primarily constructed from Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), which provides excellent durability, UV resistance (to prevent fading), and weather-resistance against both high heat and cold.
- Design (Delineator Style): It is typically a hollow, cylindrical, or T-shaped post (or “stanchion”) that stands upright on a wide base. Common heights range from 75cm to 120cm (around 30 to 47 inches)
- Flexibility and Rebound: A crucial feature of PVC posts is their flexibility (or reboundability). Unlike rigid posts, they are designed to bend and spring back to their original vertical position after being struck or run over by a vehicle. This significantly reduces damage to both the vehicle and the post, ensuring the device remains function.
