Description

Conventional Smoke Detector DET-C631 is a conventional (zone-based) optical smoke detector that uses infrared beam scattering technology to provide early fire warning. It is particularly effective at detecting large, visible smoke particles typically produced by smoldering fires involving materials like wood, paper, PVC, or polyurethane foam. It signals a fire condition by drawing a high current from the detection zone, and is built to be simple, reliable, and compliant with European safety standards.

Features:

  • Detection Type: Optical Smoke Detection using an infrared emitter and receiver in a sealed chamber (scattering principle).
  • System Type: Conventional (Non-addressable), suitable for connecting to zone-based fire alarm control panels.
  • Wide Operating Voltage: Features a wide operating voltage range 9.6 VDC to 30 VDC for compatibility with both fire and security
  • Polarity: Error-free non-polarized zone input termination simplifies wiring and installation.
  • Visual Indicator: 360-degree visual indicator provides status visibility from all angles.
  • Twin Colour LED: Green (blinking) for normal operation and Red (continuous) for an alarm status
  • Removable Chamber: The smoke chamber can be removed for easy cleaning against dust and small insects.
  • Low Power Consumption: Uses pulsed circuitry to reduce current consumption and extend the life of the optical components.
  • Compliance: EN54-7 Compliance (European Standard) and LPCB Approved.
  • Installation: Optional detector head locking mechanism can be incorporated for security
