It is particularly effective at detecting large, visible smoke particles typically produced by smoldering fires involving materials like wood, paper, PVC, or polyurethane foam. It signals a fire condition by drawing a high current from the detection zone, and is built to be simple, reliable, and compliant with European safety standards.
