Description
Climax P3 Evacuation Hood is an escape device designed for emergency egress from environments contaminated with toxic gases, vapours, and particulate matter. It consists of a PVC hood covering the head and a half-mask (often referred to as the Model 761 half-mask) with a filter to provide respiratory protection during the escape.
Features:
- Primary Use Emergency Escape: Protects the user against chemical products, toxic gases, vapours, and particulates while escaping to a safe, breathable environment.
- Material Hood: Made of PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride), typically without a lining.
- Visor Transparent PVC Visor: Provides a clear field of view necessary for safe movement during an escape.
- Construction Simple, full-head coverage to shield the head and face from the contaminated atmosphere.
- Respiratory Component: The hood incorporates or is used with a filtered half-mask (Climax 761), which connects to a filter (often an ABEKP3 type or similar, like the Climax 760 filter) for contaminant removal.
- Protection Level: Nominal Protection Factor (NPF): 50 (for the half-mask component).
- Standard: complies with standards like EN 140:1998 (for the half-mask).
