Description
Climax Carabiner PCX-002 is an asymmetric (D-shaped or modified pear-shaped), lightweight aluminum connector featuring a two-movement automatic locking system. It is polyvalent (versatile) and primarily used to safely connect components like harnesses, lanyards, and ropes to anchor points in work-at-height and rescue systems.
Features:
- Type: Model: Climax Carabiner PCX-002
- Material Aluminium. This keeps the weight low for the user’s convenience
- Locking System Automatic Locking System (2-movements). Requires two intentional steps (push and twist/rotate) to unlock, which is faster than a triple-lock but more secure than a simple screw-gate.
- Shape Asymmetric (D or Pear-shaped). Designed to properly align the load along the major axis.
- Minimum Breaking Load (Major Axis) 23 kN (kiloNewtons). This is the vertical strength rating when the gate is closed and locked.
- Minimum Breaking Load (Minor Axis) 15 kN (The strength when cross-loaded, gate closed).
- Gate Opening Approximately 19 mm (This is the clearance distance for clipping objects).
- Weight Approximately 80-82 grams (Making it very lightweight).
- Standard Compliance EN 362:2004 (Class B). This is the European standard for connectors used in fall protection.
- Snagging Prevention Features an Anti-hook system (Key-lock style nose) to prevent snagging when clipping or unclipping.
